Uil Concert and Sight Reading at Ranchview High School
DIRECTORS
T. Jarred Carlton Iii is the Managing director of Bands at Ranchview High School. Mr Carlton earned his Masters in Music in Applied Music: Performance and Pedagogy from Oklahoma State University and besides earned a Bachelor of Music Instruction degree from Northwestern State Academy.
Mr. Carlton is a versatile musician and music educator, he has taught Concert Bands, Marching Band and Jazz bands. While these programs were nether the management of Mr. Carlton, many of his bands have received consistent division one ratings at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading competition. His marching bands take been finalists in many marching competitions too as earning consistent division one ratings at the UIL Marching Competitions. Mr. Carlton's jazz Varsity and Junior Varsity ensembles have consistently won at many the Tarleton Land Jazz Festival, UTA Jazz Festival, TCU Jazz Festival, TCC/Highlander Jazz Festival and has earned a National Document of Merit in the Essentially Ellington National jazz competition.
Prior to his appointment at Ranchview High School Mr. Carlton served at the as the Acquaintance Director of Bands and Director of Jazz Studies at Boswell High School. While at Boswell, Mr. Carlton assisted with the Boswell Band of Gilt Marching Band and lead the Non-Varsity Ring to earn a Sweepstakes Rating at Concert and Sightreading UIL. In his brief time at Boswell, Mr. Carlton pb two jazz bands where they competed at won in the 5A Varsiy and 5A Not-Varsity Category. Before Boswell, Mr. Carlton worked at Lamar Loftier School in Arlington, TX. Mr. Carlton helped the Pride of Lamar Marching band earn their start Division one in Marching in 7 years and their first "Sweepstakes" in viii years. Mr. Carlton was also at the captain of the jazz program where they consistently finished 1st or 2nd in the 6A Partitioning of competitions, as well as earning a National Document of Merit in the Essentially Ellington National Jazz Competition.
When Mr. Carlton is not at Ranchview, he enjoys spending time playing video games, traveling or watching sports! Usually Mr. Carlton is spending time with his wife Alyssa and two Huskies, Jax and Ruby. Await for Mr. Carlton across the metroplex every bit he is a highly sought after clinician and adjudicator.
Beth Cordes
Director of Events, Fundraising and Logistics
Beth Cordes was born in Texas and raised in Carrollton. A proud production of Carrollton - Farmers Co-operative schools, she graduated from Newman Smith Loftier School. Ms. Cordes attended the University of North Texas in Denton and graduated with a Available of Arts in History and English, and and then with a Master of Teaching.
In addition to being on our leadership squad with the Ranchview High School Band programme, Ms. Cordes is a faculty educator with Ranchview Loftier Schoolhouse and teaches IB English.
Born in Fort Worth Texas, Addison Pellegrino is a true Texas native that enjoys all things involving music and percussion. He started his musical journey in Burleson Texas while attending Centennial High School. Addison decided to pursue music as a career afterwards having the opportunity to perform with the concert bands, marching band, jazz band, and winter drum line at Centennial.
Addison completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree in percussion studies at Northwestern Country Academy while studying under Oliver Molina and Kenneth Green. During his time at Northwestern he performed in a variety of ensembles including the Wind Symphony, Current of air Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Combos, NSU Percussion Ensemble, and the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Ring. His other influential teachers include: Mickey Burmer, Andrew Klein, Quincy Jarmon, Daniel Precipitous, Frank Connelly, and James Christian.
In 2014, Addison performed with the Oregon Crusaders Pulsate and Bugle Corps as a member of the forepart ensemble, and in 2016, performed as a fellow member of the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps snare line. Following his DCI historic period out twelvemonth in 2017, he accepted the Front Ensemble Coordinator position with the Ruby River Rhythm Indoor Drumline in Bossier City. Bated from the marching arts, Addison can be constitute performing in the North-Louisiana and Dallas-Fort Worth areas with the British Brass Ring of Louisiana, Dallas Brass Band, and a multifariousness of local artists.
In addition to performing, Addison spends much of his time composing, arranging, and teaching at numerous schools beyond the Dallas-Fort Worth and N-Louisiana areas. He is currently the percussion coordinator at Irving High School in Irving, Texas where he teaches at Irving High School, De Zavala Center School, and Austin Middle Schoolhouse. Previously, he was the percussion director at Hillsboro High Schoolhouse, Natchitoches Central High School, and the banana percussion director at Parkway High Schoolhouse in Bossier City, Louisiana. Addison is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Percussive Arts Lodge, and Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Ivy Simmons
Baby-sit Director
Ivy Simmons just recently joined the Ranchview Ring family unit, starting in the Fall of 2021 every bit our new Colorguard Director! Ivy is also currently a junior at the Academy of North Texas.
Ivy starting time began her love of color guard at the age of eleven and has been involved with color baby-sit ever since. Ivy attended Saginaw High Schoolhouse where she was apart of the Saginaw Colour Guard and the Hawkeye Mountain Contained Winter Guard. Upon graduating from Saginaw Loftier School in 2018, Ivy joined the Oregon Crusaders Pulsate and Bugle Corps before switching to the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in 2019.
Justin Muller
Marching Tech / Social Media Intern
Justin Muller is a Registered Emergency Medical Technician who has a passion for Music and the Marching Arts. Mr. Muller is Trombonist and has been All-Region Trombonist and Bass Trombonist. He has as well served every bit a Section Leader and Low Contumely Captain for the Boswell Band of Gold. Mr. Muller is in the process of becoming a Firefighter / Paramedic and enjoys spending time with his canis familiaris Zeus.
Hannah Brayfield
Marching Tech
Hannah Brayfield is a junior at the Academy of Due north Texas studying music didactics. Passionate in her pursuit of musical excellence, Hannah has found dandy joy inside a multifariousness of ensembles including marching with the Blueish Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, marching and teaching the Due north Texas Green Brigade Marching Band, playing trumpet in the North Texas Wind Ensemble, marching WGI indoor percussion and winds at Burleson Centennial High School (her dear alma mater) and at Orion Winds. In addition, Hannah serves the UNT music education community through her leadership in the North Texas Music Educator'southward Association, President part in the UNT Jazz Pedagogy Ensemble, and membership in Mu Phi Epsilon. When not making or teaching music of some sort, Hannah loves to spend time volunteering at the animal shelter, reading, or enjoying the company of her friends and family unit
Kristin Usrey
Baby-sit Assistant
Kristin Usrey grew up in Burleson, Texas where she participated in the Spartan Regiment Color Guard and Winter Guard for 3 years. Participating in many camps, she brutal in love with guard. Later graduating high schoolhouse, she attended Spartan Higher of Aeronautics where she graduated Valedictorian with a degree in Aviation Technology Management with a focus in Quality Control Management. She then moved off to California, spending a few years working at SpaceX inspecting rockets for potential hazards.
To take her career total circle, she realized a passion for education and made her manner to Ranchview High Schoolhouse to teach Honors and IB Mathematics! After reconnecting with her previous band director, Mr. Carlton, she has come to join in the Mighty Wolf Pack Ring! Kristin is looking forwards to helping support Ashley Tran in continuing to develop a strong color guard program!
Reagan Walsh
Marching Tech / Social Media Intern
Reagan Walsh is a freshman at the Academy of Texas at Arlington. She will be a part of the Maverick Marching Band and pursue a caste in Music Education. She graduated from Saginaw High School where she served as a drum major for the Spirit of Saginaw Band. She was also a role of the Saginaw Indoor Drumline as cymbal section leader. Reagan plays the clarinet, bass clarinet, cymbals and kazoo. In her complimentary time she enjoys eating bagels, playing with her dog and playing Minecraft.
